The ABC Board Traffic Expeditor is responsible for selecting a carrier and coordinating the truckload shipments of merchandise from a vendor's designated shipping point. This series consists of lists of carriers used by the Traffic Expeditor to record rates from various carriers. Upon receipt of the purchase order, the Traffic Expeditor checks rates for each carrier from the particular shipping point and the carrier with the lowest rate is offered the shipment. If the carrier refuses the rate, it is offered to the next cheapest carrier until a carrier accepts the rate. Information available on the list includes shipping point, mileage between shipping point and ABC Warehouse, carrier's name, proposed shipping point rate, stop off rate, pallet return rate, and effective dates.
